Yasuo Kamai has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and financial communications. He began his career with Nissan Motor Company as a PR and IR specialist, where he learned the traditional Japanese style business. “Don’t be deceived by their smile,” Yasuo says. “They still think Japan is No.1.”
Yasuo has held director-level positions at Prudential Investment and Moody’s Corporation, as well as four global PR consulting agencies with clients including Wilber Ross, Standard & Poor’s, Visa International, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Societe Generale, GE Capital, LTCB Warburg Securities, NASDAQ Japan, ICAP, World Gold Council, Markit, Fortress Investment, Chi-X.
Yasuo holds LL.B in US Commercial Codes from Keio University and a professional interpreter’s certificate from Simul Academy Tokyo. He is a member of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan.
